Choreographic Philosophy
In terms of Burke's creative aesthetic as a choreographer, he prioritizes creating movement as a collaboration. Entering into every project with the goal to cultivate and explore artistry, not only in himself, but also in the other dancers. ‘A dancer mimics steps, an artist investigates them...’
Ultimately, Burke regards dance as a necessary outlet for feeling — it serves as a powerful vehicle for communication and self-expression. All of Burke's inspiration for choreography is fueled by feeling, storytelling, and collective passion imbued into the movement.
